Electric Guitar Setup Workshop

Join Sam Walker from East London Guitar Repair for a hands-on workshop that takes you through the guitar setup process from start to finish.

Work through a full setup on your own electric guitar or bass, including restringing, cleaning, neck adjustment, action, intonation, pickup height and tuning issues. For anyone with a strat-style tremelo, you’ll also cover bridge balance and how the tremolo system affects tuning and feel.

This workshop is for:
- Electric guitars with a fixed bridge or Strat-style tremolo system
- Bass guitars

Recommended age: 18+. If you’re a parent or guardian of a teenager aged 13+ who would like to attend, please get in touch with us before booking.

About Sam
Sam has more than 25 years of professional experience building and repairing instruments. Through East London Guitar Repair, he has worked on thousands of guitars, from everyday instruments to guitars played by some of the biggest names in music. Sam brings his experience to every session, guiding each person through the setup of their own instrument and explaining the thinking behind the work as they go.
