Beginner Guitar Course at Canary Wharf: January image

For adults who've never played guitar. In four weeks you'll be playing your first songs.

Two 90-minute sessions a week, Monday and Friday evenings, in a small group. We start with how to hold the guitar and your first chords. By week four you're playing whole songs together.

You'll learn with Darryl, who started KitchenJam. No guitar? Borrow one of ours, just tell us when you book.

The First Song Promise. Come to at least 6 of the 8 sessions and practise 10 minutes, 5 days a week. If you can't play a whole song with the group at your last session, you choose: your money back, or join the next group free.

£99 deposit to book. The rest is due a week before you start, and we'll email you a link. Book by 24 December and the course is £299 in total. From 25 December it's £349. Or pay for the whole course in one go.

January group: Mondays 4, 11, 18 and 25 January, and Fridays 8, 15, 22 and 29 January. 6pm to 7:30pm.

Can't make your dates after all? Your deposit moves to a later group. It isn't refunded.

Got a course gift voucher? Tap "Use ticket access code", enter GIFTCOURSE, then choose "Gift voucher (whole course)" and use your voucher code at checkout. It covers the whole course.

Adults only (18 and over). Darryl films parts of the course for Instagram and our website. You choose at checkout whether you're happy to be in shot, and you can change your mind any time.

KitchenJam Canary Wharf, Unit 7, 8 Harbord Square, Wood Wharf E14 9QH.

The small print. Can't make your group? Your £99 deposit moves to any group in the next 6 months. If you've paid in full and tell us at least a week before you start, the rest becomes credit towards a KitchenJam membership, to use within 6 months. It isn't refunded. If the rest isn't paid a week before you start, we offer your place to the waiting list and your deposit moves to a later group. Missed sessions aren't refunded. First Song Promise claims need to reach us within 7 days of your last session, and refunds go back to whoever paid.

At KitchenJam, everyone's made to play guitar.
